The way we start-up
Mr. Tan founded our business in 2002, during a time when the MD2 pineapple variety was not widely known. Initially, the N36 variety was the primary focus of our farm.
In 2003, Mr. Tan came across the MD2 variety. Although it was only known in a niche market due to its higher cost, he saw its potential. Determined to bring this superior pineapple to the Malaysian market, he dedicated himself to mastering the MD2 cultivation techniques. By 2007, he had successfully perfected the process, positioning our farm as a leader in producing this premium variety.
ABOUT GOLDENPINE FARM
Today, our farm spans approximately 25 hectares of pineapple plantations in Simpang Renggam. While we primarily serve the local market, we also export our premium produce to Singapore.
As the pioneer of the MD2 variety in Malaysia, we have developed proprietary MD2-specific fertilizers and innovative pineapple plastic caps. These caps, designed to prevent sunburn on the pineapples, have earned top honors in both Johor and Malaysia's Agricultural Innovation Competitions. These innovations are key to our success and set our farm apart in the industry.
TASTE THE NATURE
Since pests pose minimal threats to pineapples, our farm proudly operates PSESTICIDE-FREE. In 2018, we achieved myGAP certification, affirming our commitment to sustainable and responsible farming practices.
To ensure the consistent high quality of our pineapples, we regularly invite officers from the Ministry of Agriculture to assess and verify our compliance with the Skim Pengesahan Bahan Tanaman (SPBT) standards. This rigorous examination process underscores our dedication to delivering top-quality produce to our customers.
